Have you found you don't have enough time to tend your yard or garden? Gardens are investments that deserve to have their value maintained. Don't let yours get choked out by weeds just because you are too busy. A little help can go a long way.
If it's a one-time project to get you caught up for the season, or regular maintenance to help throughout the year, a gardener can give you the time you need for other important things.
Perhaps you want to know more about your landscape - "What are my plants, and how can I best care for them?" Or you might need to re-think what's there - "I want more privacy and need plants that work for shade, and I love native plants."
If you have kids, you might want to know what's edible and what's not if you have curious foragers, or plant some edibles in your border.
I can help you come up with ideas, find plants, and can coach you to help you manage what's there better on your own.
Things getting hairy in your yard? I can help you by doing a quick cleanup, light maintenance, including weeding, trimming and raking. I can be more invested to help you save time each month by doing regular maintenance, and focusing on the most important gardening tasks. I am more detailed than the typical mow n' blow guys - I have fine gardening training so I know how each plant needs to be treated, but I can get the job done when you need it. I operate on a small scale, so don't mow or blow, but use environmentally friendly hand tools, and organic means for pest control. I can help you find other services that will help improve the life of your garden and outdoor experience, including compost-tea spraying and hardscaping.
The right plant for the right place. This is a principle in gardening that can save a lot of trouble. Based on your unique landscape conditions, as well as your own desire for your private garden space, I can help you select the right plants to secure success. We can work together to create a plan for more privacy, plant on a rockery, create a shade or rain garden, or create an edible sustainable landscape.
I'm professionally-trained in horticulture and an experienced gardener. I earned a professional certificate in horticulture here in Seattle in addition to other botanical studies. That means I know how to care for individual plants and manage a landscape. My background is in art, I'm trained in integrative nutrition, and I live with my husband and two-year old son in the Central District.
